Because of organizational changes the two websites of NS Poort and Servex needed to be migrated to a new CMS based on Hippo.
Xillio built an export connector to extract HTML and a mapping was created to identify content types. To import the content, Xillio configured the Hippo import connector.
A proven website migration process saved considerable manual effort and allowed to meet the tight project deadlines.
NS Poort (today called NS Stations) is the owner and operator of all 400+ railway stations in the Netherlands. In 2012, NS Poort changed its name to NS Stations and that transition was one of the reasons why Xillio was called in to help. The current NSpoort.nl website had to be migrate to a new NS Stations website.
In the same time, also the brand Servex (catering and retail business for the stations) disappeared and the corresponding website Servex.nl needed to be migrated as well. An important challenge while migrating the content was to maintain all 20+ individual branded NS Poort subsites for entities such as Albert Heijn To Go, Swirl’s, Kiosk. The open sources CMS Hippo was chosen as the new target system.
